Classic Elegance... 7 foot Straight Bar
 HB-001AB...built by Mono D'., Grosse Ile, MI "...I've finished my bar and wanted to show you the final product. I've amazed my wife, my neighbors and myself at how nice this turned out. I used red oak for the trim. It was stained with Minwax golden oak and finished with two coats of polyurethane. I did something on the base panels that some of your other customers might what to consider. I couldn't find a painted finish that resulted in the high gloss look I was after. I ended up using vertical grade Formica and it worked very well. It was easy to apply, didn't require a change in your plans and it comes in a wide variety of colors. It adds about $100 to the material costs, but if you want something other than a wood finish, it's an excellent choice, as you can see by my results. Your plans are a good choice for a non-professional carpenter like myself."

HB-001 Straight Bar & BB-001 Back Bar Combo "...After an initial investment in a benchtop table saw and router I was able to build this great bar and back bar using the plans I obtained on your web site. They were great and easy to follow even for an inexperienced woodworker like myself.
The bar and back bar panels were painted to coordinate with the wall colors of my basement rec room and all the molding, arm rail and trim was done in red oak with golden oak minwax stain and two final coats of minwax polyurethane. The bar top and back bar top were finished with faux black marble Formica.
I installed rope light accent lights under the bar top..."

Excellence in Oak... 7 foot Straight Bar
HB-001AB built by Trevor W., Dakota City, NE "...made completely out of white oak and colored using a Minwax Golden Oak stain with a top-coat of Minwax Semi-Gloss Polyurethane.
...there is no way that I would have been able to build a bar this nice without the plans that I purchased from this web site. The plans were very detailed and extremely simple to follow. If you can read and follow directions, own power tools and want a bar, I would highly recommend these plans to you! Trevor W.

Color me Cool... 7 foot Straight Bar
HB-001AB...built by Richard P., Santa Barbara, CA "...The bar was fun to build and the plans very explicit and easy to follow. In particular, the material list and related drawing, as well as the 3D assembly drawings made the job simple. The arm rest rail and the foot rest were purchased. I don't have a table saw so could not make the arm rest rail. A Skil type saw and a router were used to cut the wood. I could not have done as good a job of joining the sides to the front without the information in the plans. We decided on the green color scheme to be a complimentary color to the red of the room. We use the bar all the time now particularly before watching a movie or TV. My wife says it's beautiful and when we are enjoying a glass of wine and some peanuts it's like having an evening out on the town. Richard P.
