Many of you have written to us asking to see photos of bars built from our plans. Here are pictures of some great looking bars built from our Mini Bar plans...

 MB-001 ..."Dear Tom:
I started out with the mini bar and used the similar technique to build the back bar, the side bar and what I call the two level buffet. This is all on a screened lanai 8' 4'' X 17' space. I have seating for 8 and I can set up a buffet complete with 2 large chaffing dishes. It is going on its inaugural party run on the 4th of July. I will send you picts. Thanks for the inspiration, the plans and the great technique. It was pure genius.

MB-001 "...I found the plans to be well thought out and designed. As you will see from the pictures, I modified the plans somewhat. The surface material is plywood bead-board to match the wainscot in the rest of the room... I added 1/4" plywood panels on either end and pre drilled them for the shelf clips... This was only my second furniture building project and things went very well. The whole project took me about 12 total hours to complete. MB-001 ..."I just wanted to drop you a quick note to tell you how happy I am with the mini-bar plans that I purchased recently. I just finished building the bar and found it to be very easy. The plans were flawless. I did make a couple modifications...and I also elected to make the top a little longer than specified. The way you have designed it was very helpful as I do not have much of a workshop, basically a circular saw and a drill, but that's all I needed. I am attaching a photo of my finished bar. MB-001 ..."Precision Images, you have a happy customer! The “MINI-BAR” plans were complete, easy to understand, and the material costs you estimated were really close. It went together smoothly.
As you can see from the picture, I made a few simple additions to get the perpetually popular Tiki look. Knowing the power of working good plan, I built the bar “as-is” but left the top off. I then wrapped, tacked, and cut the front and sides with a 6’ x 8’ Lauhala mat. Then, trimmed the bottom with 2” half round bamboo pole and finish nails. To complete the trim, I glued more of the 2” half round bamboo pole to the front and sides of the bar top (flush at the top) and put more finish nails up from the bottom of the bamboo. Then I secured the bar top per the plan but, left off the bar top ends. Finally, I used 8” lag bolts to secure a foot rail (4” bamboo pole) through front of the base frame and into end of each of the three 2 x 6 supports.

Thanks for taking the time to design with cross cuts. I was able to convince the guy at Lowe's to make nearly all of the cuts for me. The whole thing was built inside my apartment in about three hours!
